Your are in control of where your money goes to. Normally it only requires you to come out with a relatively small amount of money for helping them, and due to the power of community, multiple small amount can be accumulate to become a big pool of fund to help more people in need.
The system do keep track the loans and repayments. When you get your loan money back, you can relend to other person in need. What we see here is a group setup fro Malaysians.
