Malaysian Logic… Does It Make Any Sense?

imageThis is not about arguing anything. I had the same mentality as well. Our country is so bad, why not just move away?

Of course, I do not have any statistics how many Malaysians are keen to migrate. But we know from public news some time ago, there are currently hundreds of thousand Malaysians living overseas.

Ok, if you have a chance, I do encourage you to explore overseas opportunities. It should be a good life experience. Be it working, or studying. Open yourself to more possibilities.

Anyway, what I intended to discuss here, is the LOGIC we always apply.

I did not have this as my original idea. I read the news paper and came across the article like this. (Credit to SinChew JitPoh for this mind enlightening article).

For the benefit of friends that can’t read it. The brief idea of this article is:
“Fellow friends always complaint about our government, political parties, social problems and hiking criminal rate. Always they come to a conclusion: for the sake of our children, we want to migrate.

Always, when we talk about racism, corruption, and all kind of in-justice happening around us, we fell that we are victimized. We think that it is bad situation now, and it could be even worse in the future. Then we start to have an idea to leave the country.

Agree or not, it is very common logic that we always apply in our life. For example, in the office, maybe there are some colleague with bad attitude that affect our work, then what we do is find new job and resign. When we go to government agencies, facing with bad counter servant, we choose to keep quiet and give way. Even worse, let say a husband having affair outside, most of the time the pity wife will leave along with the children.

Similarly, for the country, when we see the people who is ruling and managing the country is bad, we are not stay and fight but choose to give up and migrate instead.

Why is that so that we as majority have to leave because of a small group of people that spoil the whole country? Why instead of stay get rid of those bad elements, we choose to run away. Where can our ~27 million people run to? Isn’t it make better sense to chase those ruining the country away?”

Are we continue to stay calm and quiet to let our country getting worse? I do not want to convince you about supporting anybody or oppose anybody. Do what you think is right. What I want to emphasize here is only, when things are not right, try to correct it. Not trying to run away from it.

Hard to do, but it is not impossible to do.

What are you searching in #life?

Imagine… it was a time, when there is no such thing called civilization.

Human… the very ancient people, hunting for food day in day out. Were they searching for something?

What are you searching in life?

Maybe something had stimulated them to start looking for something other than food… to live life different from other animals.

Maybe got somebody began to find way to start a fire… the effort maybe had taken him whole long life.

Maybe got somebody began to invent weapon for hunting… the effort could have made him busy for whole life as well.

Maybe… it was the time when people spent whole life for something they passionate at.

Nowadays what are we searching in our life? Comfortable life? Some vision? Some great objective in life?

Or… work, eat, have a house, have a family, earn some good money… then waiting for the end to come?

Continue thinking…

Funny Side of the Story

Well, we had follow enough about Saiful and Anwar. Now it come to a juncture that it is something to be questioned to all Malaysian.

According to the ‘poor’ boy, he had been fxcked by uncle A from the backside.

He then seek advice from his uncle, his cousin, and even the Prime Minister of 1Malaysia. Indeed, nobody advice him to make police report immediately.

Reason being is, for not affecting poor Saiful’s future career.

Ok, I am not intended to question whether this is true or fake story made by Saiful together with PM of 1Malaysia + ‘First Lady’ of 1Malaysia.

My question is rather, if let say you have heard of any of your friend (sorry, this is just example.. alright), suffer from such incident, what is your immediate response?

Isn’t it make sense if you go and report to police as soon as possible to faster the process of arresting the offender? And for getting better evident to charge the offender, you quickly go to hospital to perform medical checkup and collect what ever sample it could be to prove that your charge is true?

Are we not trusting the police therefore we are reluctant to make police report? Or are we don’t trust our court to charge anybody in guilty, eg if they are famous politician? I suspect if Saiful’s story is true, then our value system is in big problem. The problem is, even the Prime Minister, don’t know how to judge correctly based on universal principle. The answer to me is simple, we holding strongly to the JUSTICE. If you are victimized, please stand out and speak. No hiding. The more we hide, the more people will suffer later.

He Said He is Surprised?

Why he suddenly surprised for the number of people don’t have personal identity? We have been knowing this for years.

I read the news on The Star, and I feel that’s really doesn’t make any sense for such report to even appear.

image

If this is a problem that he newly make known, some more he felt surprise about it, that’s really wrong for him to be in the position of Home Minister. Why I say so?

Isn’t that the problem of Sarawakian native having not personal identification a long time issue? Weren’t there many NGO’s have been submitting papers to raise attention to the issues from government and people as a whole?

Example is this:

* The original report is credit of Malaysian Election Observation Network (MEO-Net). Please contact the person in charge if you are interested to read the whole report.

Lesson learnt:

1. Possibly his staff might not had update him on this issue, instead they sweep the problem under the carpet hoping the issue will never explode and forgotten by people after a while.

2. Possibly he know about the issue but he has no urgency to solve it. Then the issue was put aside and who knows, somebody poor guy died not at the good time and lead to the by election and this has become a important thing to look at.

3. In 1Malaysia, general election is not as important at by-election. So next round when you vote, try selecting the candidate that have a look that going to heaven anytime soon.

I just learnt a new Hokkien sentence from the dictionary (yes, there is such person who studied and produced a dictionary to teach you hokkien):

So to practice the usage of it, it may sound like: “Datuk, kan ni na bu chao chee bye, today only you said you surprise with the issue ah? Have you been sleeping all this while? Are we paying you for sleeping? kana sai!!”.

The Strong Ones will Survive the Competition

Watched "ice kacang" movie today. Is a nice local production. Touching because things that happen is so near to real life, especially for those come from small towns… Like me.

However this is not a review about the movie. Just want to highlight some personal opinion on the fighting fish.

I didn’t know that we can train the fish the way the girl did, by dropping acid sulfate into the water and let the fish get use to poor water condition.

I am not sure if the script writer or the director purposely embedded any message in the fish scenes.

My personal feeling is, this is exactly what we need to accept in life. Only those survive the bad condition can win the competition. Instead of begging for protection we are better find our own way of surviving. Then it make us stronger for even tougher challenges to come.

Don’t think only one direction. I admit that the first example I can think of is Malay privilege and we as non-Malay in this country always think unfair. We have to just think that its to prepare us to be in better position for future competition.

I know even Malay friends will agree with me. That is because there are among our Malay friends know that as truth fact. They don’ want to be pampered. I am sure you have such friends around as well.

I really hope all friends treat things positive way. Enjoy the movie.
