A Song..
Do you still remember a song, starting with..”Allah, peliharakan Sultan….”. (It is more or less “Allah, I beg your blessing to our Sultan…”. )
You may not, if you are not from Johore. That song that I mention is the state song of Johore. We sang this song often enough, almost every week during school assemblies.
Well, if you did ever sang this song, what was Allah meant to you?
For me, I had never thought about it during school time. What I felt was, no matter what Allah (God) to be referred to, as long as our Sultan was blessed, we as people of the state were blessed.
However, maybe my understanding was wrong in totality. The ‘Allah’ can only be referring to one, not any others. So I prayed to the wrong target for all this while. What was in my mind while singing the song, was some other rather than the one. What about you? The answer is up to your own believe.
Take the discussion back to the track, not burning buildings. After all, we will be all loser, what for?
What’s So Wrong with the Word?
People are organizing demonstration for the usage of one word? Isn’t that something not so right? Are we a country that still respect to court ruling or we think that we can do anything to against it? Well, if the logic is we can demonstrate if we don’t agree with the outcome, then why a lot more public demonstration against un-reasonable court decision got categorized as illegal?
Just for a word, people burning other peoples’ holy place. If religion still make it’s sense, we should love each other no matter what believe we have. When it went so wrong, what’s the rational behind which the police never take harsh action against the people?
Are we still a country that is rational and relevant in this world which people are more and more open minded, willing to accept different? What’s wrong with the people?
End up Malaysia has been eyed as “.. still struggling to uphold basic freedoms.”. Do still have a hope so far? 1Malaysia? 1-Funny-Malaysia?

Hi today is 03 Jan 2010, already. However, still having the brand-new-year mood? Wish all friends happy new year. There should be a bad year ahead looking at announcements made by our government recently. Anyway, life is too short to worry about all that. Wish all friends enjoy the fresh air for the new year.
