Shocked…

This morning I got shocked with the news of Thailand.

I got even more shocked and puzzled, why Sin Chew Jit Poh need to spend 6 full page to publish the photos taken from Bangkok. A messy, bloody Bangkok. Is the situation that bad?

When I turn to read Oriental Daily, the head line still about demonstration in Thailand. However, there are some photos just for illustration. The reports are more wordy and trying to explain the whole chronological event and what people had said about the incident.

Maybe you are not reader of local Chinese Newspapers. Anyway I just want to share with you mine feeling reading these 2 different publication.

You know, immediately I feel that is Sin Chew been instructed to ‘educate’ Malaysian how bad is situation in Bangkok? The purpose is to warn Malaysian so that we are scared of demonstrating our disagreement on government policies? I do not know. What I know is, our BN government had done enough to disturb the mainstream media on what they report. We can’t rely on information on the government-linked or political-party-linked media anymore.

It Has Been Too Wrong

As we all know he has been ‘suspected’ responsible in a lot of cases but nobody can actually touch him because the whole national law enforcement machinery is HIS. Example of the cases like:

1. Poor Mongolian lady, murdered miserably.

2. Expensive submarine with problem to dive bought during his tenancy as Minister of Defense.

3. Newly heard, he had just signed a multi-billion nuclear plant deal with France, not sure for what justification we need to pursue nuclear power in near future.

4. Engaging APCO with extremely high consultation fee, gone into mystery 2 ringgit company account.

Whether or not, that takes time to find out the truth. But with the 2 by-election just happen, we have enough reason why he is not fit as our Prime Minister anymore. Simply because, the serious violation of basic principle of democracy and ignorance of people’s right. Misuse the whole people’s money for his own FUN.

You may have heard about he conditionally offered Ulu Selangor people the allocation for RASA primary school the amount of 3 million? That’s openly buying votes. Ok, let say it’s for people’s benefit, why not earlier; why not later but during the election? And with a condition that ‘if BN win the election’? Together with the Ulu Selangor by-election, hundreds of millions allocation suddenly approved for projects. Were the projects been adequately justified and prioritized or simply for the sake of wining the election?

Another one just happen in Sibu. You can see the video below and digest what he said. Decide base on your own judgment.

He Said He is Surprised?

Why he suddenly surprised for the number of people don’t have personal identity? We have been knowing this for years.

I read the news on The Star, and I feel that’s really doesn’t make any sense for such report to even appear.

image

If this is a problem that he newly make known, some more he felt surprise about it, that’s really wrong for him to be in the position of Home Minister. Why I say so?

Isn’t that the problem of Sarawakian native having not personal identification a long time issue? Weren’t there many NGO’s have been submitting papers to raise attention to the issues from government and people as a whole?

Example is this:

* The original report is credit of Malaysian Election Observation Network (MEO-Net). Please contact the person in charge if you are interested to read the whole report.

Lesson learnt:

1. Possibly his staff might not had update him on this issue, instead they sweep the problem under the carpet hoping the issue will never explode and forgotten by people after a while.

2. Possibly he know about the issue but he has no urgency to solve it. Then the issue was put aside and who knows, somebody poor guy died not at the good time and lead to the by election and this has become a important thing to look at.

3. In 1Malaysia, general election is not as important at by-election. So next round when you vote, try selecting the candidate that have a look that going to heaven anytime soon.

I just learnt a new Hokkien sentence from the dictionary (yes, there is such person who studied and produced a dictionary to teach you hokkien):

So to practice the usage of it, it may sound like: “Datuk, kan ni na bu chao chee bye, today only you said you surprise with the issue ah? Have you been sleeping all this while? Are we paying you for sleeping? kana sai!!”.

Time to Voice Out Your Choice

A slightly out dated good news to share. I have managed to convince ‘1’ friend to go for registration as voter.

You might want to say, what so happy about it? 1 person only mah.. some more, what’s so important to register as voter?

Well, if you are already registered, congratulations. You have the right to choose who to be the next government; or you may choose not to choose anyone.

Else, you don’t even have a chance to choose whether you want to choose or not in the election. You need to register yourself to be eligible to choose. That’s what my friend who just came back from overseas after many years of working didn’t realise, even she still remain as Malaysian citizen.

To register as voter in Malaysia is not tough though. There is talk that why not just let whoever Malaysian with valid IC to, automatically be eligible to vote. That’s another big topic to talk about which I don’t want to discuss now.

I just mean to tell you that you can just go to any post office, request for a form. The form is easy enough to fill in. After that, submit the form to the post office officer together with your IC. They will key in your details and give you back a carbon copy of the form to you for record. That’s it. Nothing complicated.

After a few months, (yes, that takes months for them to process), check your status on SPR official website. http://www.spr.gov.my/.

The next election could be coming anytime soon. We just can’t predict it just like we don’t know when we are going to die. Under the sun only our PM that maybe know when to declare the general election. So do it as soon as you pass by any post office.

Concern about Politics?

I have a friend… asked me why I so concern about politics; why I keep on posting things on Facebook. (actually I use mobile twitter to tweet what ever my thought and feel, at the same time, the twitter linked to Facebook. Therefore you see me updating Facebook all the while. The fact is I don’t hang on Facebook too much).

Ok, let’s be clear. I am not concerning about politics. I don’t like to ‘campur tangan’ in politics.

My concern is about my own life. My own future. (Please, people are selfish. I can’t say I concern about you and your future because it sound so fake).

We are living in a country that political influence so strong that almost everything in our daily life can be linked to politic.

So called government linked company came as results of privatization: highway, utility, telco, sewage management etc. That are all companies that is operated by political cronies. Whether the government manage it well or not, affect our daily life. And who is the government? The politicians elected by people. By us.

So is that important for us to concern about politics?

Ok, another thing. Education. All this while it’s very political in setting up education policies. Why Chinese and Tamil primary school can’t get the status as Sekolah Kebangsaan? Why it is so called Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan?

Why GCE certification is being accepted and accredited by so many countries out there but not the home country? Isn’t it so obvious that the decision is more political than based on education sense? Can we not concern about politics to find a way out?

Day in day out we suffer things as consequence of bad government. Who the government is? The people that elected by us through a political process. Can you not concern who to be elected for the coming election? If not now, when are we going to concern about politic? If not us, who are we want to rely on to change our own country, the place we stay for life?
